Hamblen County Health Council meets the first Wednesday of each month (with exception of July) at 12:00 PM in Health Department conference room. Visitors welcome.
Flu Shots Available - Seasonal Flu shots are now available at the Hamblen County Health Department. Adult flu clinics are by appointment every Thursday afternoon (1:00-3:00 PM) beginning September 23 through October 28. Children’s flu shots are available on a walk-in basis all other times.
The cost of the flu shot is $32 for adults and $13.70 for children. The Health Department will bill traditional Medicare – the red, white and blue card for those with that coverage – but no Medicare Advantage Plans or private insurance will be billed.
