Summary of Services Provided:

Childhood and Adult Immunizations, Well Child Physical Exams, Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC), Child Health and Development (CHAD) home visiting program, Help Us Grow Successfully (HUGS) home visiting program, Children’s Special Services (CSS), Dental Clinic (serving children under 21 years of age receiving TennCare and prenatal patients who receive TennCare and/or are uninsured), TENNderCARE Outreach, Family Planning Services, Women’s Health Exams, Pregnancy Testing, Sexually Transmitted Disease Testing and Treatment, Infectious disease and Tuberculosis control, Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program, Health Education Programs, Issuing Birth Certificates to persons born in Tn. From 1949 on - cost is $8, Issuing Death Certificates - cost is $7, General Environmental Health-including inspection of food service establishments and other businesses, and rabies control.

Events:

Hamblen County Health Council meets the first Wednesday of each month (with exception of July) at 12:00 PM in Health Department conference room.  Visitors welcome.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program - July 1 & 2 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and July 8, 15, 22, & 29 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Qualified Hamblen County Senior citizens will receive vouchers to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmer's markets in the county.
Applications may be completed now at:  The Senior Citizens Center, Douglas Cherokee Economic Authority,
M-H Central Services, and the Morristown Housing Authority.
