Hamblen County is proud to be the only county in Tennessee to offer it's residents free countywide curbside garbage and recycling pickup.

Recycling is picked up by Hamblen County on the same day as garbage collections. Please place recyclable materials in a blue bag, and place by the street at least 10 feet from your regular garbage. If you have any question about when your collection day is, check with neighbors or call the Hamblen County Garbage Department at 586-3273.
The following may be recycled curbside:

Please rinse off any residue before placing items to be recycled. Paper must be separated from other recyclable materials. Please do not include broken dishes, drinking glasses, window glass, light bulbs, tissue paper, paper towels, paper milk cartons, or containers that have held cooking or motor oil.
Corrugated cardboard boxes may be taken to the Goodwill Materials Recovery Facility at 5888 Old Russellville Highway, Russellville, TN 37860.
Used tires may be taken to the Hamblen County-Morristown Solid Waste facility.
Used motor oil may be taken to the Hamblen County-Morristown Solid Waste facility for disposal. Many local businesses, such as automotive parts retailers, also collect used motor oil at no charge for recycling.
Used paint may be donated to local non-profit groups or to local schools for use by drama departments. Used latex or oil based paint may also be taken to the Hamblen County-Morristown Solid Waste facility for disposal.
